BSFC: Information for new starters in September
Birkenhead Sixth Form College have launched their ‘New Starters’ information hub, “a one-stop shop that helps Year 11 with everything they need to know before starting in September.”
It includes information on the timeline leading up to September and will include all subject Preparation Packs. They are also running a fun, interactive quiz for new starters.
If you have applied to start at the college in September, check it out — and remember to keep an eye on your emails and social media to see how to get involved.

Edge Hill University outreach programme and live online sessions
Edge Hill have established a timetable for live virtual activity. The timetable launches on Wednesday 15 April. Read/download the documents below for more information. They include information relevant to all year groups:
Anna Wooley, widening participation officer at the university, says:
We would strongly recommend encouraging students to join us live, as they will then be able to take part in the interactive elements that are included, as well as having any questions they have answered.
We would also encourage students to visit our webpages to find out more about the scheduled sessions, as they will also be able to see the wider offer and book on to other topics or live chats that they may find of interest.
There are different booking processes depending on the age of the students so that we can adhere to data collection and storage legislation (pre-16 students do not need to leave any details).
We are also in the process of recording each session, so they will be available to send to students in order for them to be viewed at any time.
