Choosing the right school for your son/daughter is an important decision and at Ridgeway High School we strive to give you as much insight and information as possible to help you with this process.
We organise Open Evenings in September along with Open Sessions throughout the year to enable families of Year 5 and 6 students to visit the school prior to making their secondary school preference selection in October.

All applications for admission to Ridgeway High School for children transferring from primary school into Year 7 are co-ordinated centrally by the Local Authority. To apply, visit the school admissions page of the Wirral LA site.
If you would like to make an enquiry about school places in Year 7 for September 2019, please email Liz Williams, Deputy Headteacher.
All requests for in-year admissions (between September and July) are dealt with by the school. Applications must be made through Wirral local authority.
While most parents/carers will be able to send their child off to start their educational journey at the high school of their preference in September, there will be a handful who may not have been allocated their preferred choice. The reason for this is usually that the demand for places is higher than those available.
If you wish to appeal to attend Ridgeway or another school, please contact Wirral LA or visit their website, which details the appeals timeline.

You are welcome to contact the school and to come and visit us at any time of the school day on any day of the week. A member of the senior leadership team will happily show you around: there is no better way to get a ‘feel’ for a school than to see it in action!Choosing-RHS
