We seek to nurture a sense of ambition and broaden students’ horizons. We engage students at a young age – beginning with learning for life lessons in Year 7 – in thinking about their future by helping them focus on dreams and aspirations.
Our annual futures fair is open to all students from Year 9 upwards, helping to stimulate their thinking around the various pathways from the age of sixteen. Here are some images from our 2018 futures fair:
Prior to their week of work experience, Year 10 students take part in a Progression Routes Day, including workshops delivered by outside providers from the world of business and further and higher education.
Opportunities to visit careers roadshows, taster days, a one-to-one careers interview and targeted support for vulnerable students help ensure that students leave us ready for the next phase in their journey.
