Miss Grundy reports back on a fantastic planning day with the new Student Voice team.
“The entire team met together for a full day in December to work on ideas for moving Ridgeway forward. The different strands of Student Voice (competition, charity, well-being and student liaison) and the student senior leadership team had great fun coming up with lots of different proposals and projects. Examples include a twelve-hour sponsored football match, a cinema night and guardian angel badges for anti-bullying ambassadors.
I invited Ben Harrison, chairman of The Tranmere Rovers Trust and Associate Director of TRFC, to work with the students and discuss his experiences of fundraising, voluntary work and business. He worked with the students throughout the day, discussing their ideas with them and mentioning local charities that we might choose to support. Amazingly, Ben has offered to match the first £100 that we raise for charity.
The students and I would like to thank Ben for his support on the day and for his generous donation to our chosen charities.”
