New Futures page: There has been a lot of information relating to careers issued during the emergency, so we have collected the information together onto one page called Futures: Lockdown Updates.

Edge Hill University outreach: We have added some information about Edge Hill University’s outreach programme to the futures homepage, with information relevant to all year groups.
Edge Hill’s programme of live virtual sessions begins on Wednesday 15 April.
Online-safety update: We have uploaded information about Houseparty, a hugely popular face-to-face social network.
Careers information: If you are a student or parent and have a query relating to careers, click here for you can get in touch with Career Connect.
Website Changes: We have reorganised the website to help visitors easily locate information during the extended period of school closure.
The main menu, which appears at the top of every page, has two new additions — ‘Coronavirus’ and ‘Home Learning’.
‘Coronavirus’ is a drop-down menu of relevant pages.
‘Home Learning’ is a clickable link taking you to a Home Learning Hub page, a collection of useful links to support your child’s learning at home.
The homepage also has prominent one-click links to the Coronavirus Latest page and to the Home Learning Hub page.

Year 8 parents’ evening POSTPONED: In light of concerns about the spread of coronavirus, we have taken the decision to postpone the year 8 parents’ evening scheduled for Thursday 19 March. We are looking to reschedule it for later in the year.
Letter to all parents: A February half-term letter to all parents is now on the Letters page.
Online safety: We have added a handy, easy-to-follow presentation for parents about online safety produced in January 2020. Click here to read and/or download it from our online-safety page.
TikTok information: The web-sharing app TikTok has been in the news recently. Visit our online safety page to read and/or download a handy guide to what TikTok is and what some of the risks are, especially for younger users.
Pencil cases on sale: An important part of being ready to learn is having the necessary equipment. Occasionally, of course, things run out or get mislaid.
We will now be selling pencil cases in school containing basic equipment — two black pens, a purple pen, a pencil, a 15cm ruler and an eraser — for £1.
Pencil cases will be sold in the refectory during form time each morning by our student voice team.

Achievements Board: Have you checked out our Achievements Board yet? It shows you how each house is getting on and who are our outstanding students in terms of achievements. We’ll be updating the Achievements Board regularly.
Tassomai: We have updated our page about Tassomai, the online learning program that we subscribe to.
