At Ridgeway High School, every student receives a 1-4 attitude to learning score after every lesson – so that’s six times a day. As a parent, you can monitor your child’s attitude to learning lesson scores via the VLE. It is updated in real time. Effort, behaviour and homework are also part of the report you receive on your child every seven-eight weeks.
The meaning of the 1-4 scores is shown below:
‘1’ means that your child has shown an outstanding attitude to learning.
‘2’ is good. This is the minimum we expect of every child.
‘3’ indicates a cause for concern, such as lack of equipment, lack of homework or lateness to lesson.
‘4’ indicates a serious cause for concern, such as inappropriate behaviour.
