The spirit of Christmas, combined with a fierce competitiveness, was in evidence during our first ever Winter Games in December! Not wanting to wait until the summer, over 200 students from Years 7, 8 and 9 signed up to the event, which was run by twenty student leaders from our Year 10 cohort.
These inaugural games saw a range of Christmas-themed favourites, such as ‘build a snowman’, a North Pole agility run and a Santa dash. Overall a massive total of 11,500 points was amassed with students competing to represent their House. King House emerged victorious, ahead of Kolbe in second and Teresa third.
Mr Metcalf was delighted with the event and praised our student leaders: “Events like this are very difficult to organise and run on such a large scale. I take my hat off to our student leaders who were magnificent, especially considering this was their first experience of leadership.”
