Business studies actively engages students to develop as effective and independent learners and as critical and reflective thinkers with enquiring minds. Students are encouraged to use a critical approach to distinguishing between fact and opinion, building arguments and making informed judgements.

How we organise learning
Key Stage 3 students have two lessons per week in the computing and business department. Students move around the department on a rotation, spending two half-terms doing computing and one in enterprise. They work on a variety of software to learn about standard business software, web authoring, mobile application design and programming.
Key Stage 4
Students can opt for a GCSE in business studies. We also offer a vocational business option.
